5:30 am rise and shine to meet our guide at 7. Hooray – it’s Mike again! We were supposed to have an all day mountain bike on Gooseberry Mesa today. When we mentioned that to Mike yesterday, he suggested we change it to a bike and hike – Thank God!!
Our itinerary included biking the Canyon floor and hiking to the Emerald Pools. The day started out quite cool and windy, biking into the wind – not easy. We stopped briefly at the Canyon Lodge before beginning the ascent. Three miles of rugged terrain brought us to the upper level of spring fed pools where Marie envisioned a perfect grotto site for “Mother Mary” and I decided that hiking is fun - NOT
When all totaled, we did 32 miles on bike. Now we’re having a little down time because at 5:30 we’re going on an open jeep Sunset Tour. Busy, busy, busy.
Enjoy the pictorial of the day –these photos represent but a fraction of what we’ve seen and experienced so far. AWESOME!

Hey, you guys look professional! Happy you are having fun. We missed you at the ride but it was great.
BTW I think you should buy a more powerful flashlight the next time you pass a Walmart. ENJOY
You guys are AMAZING!!! I am so glad you're doing this. But it needs to be noted....That this application would have worked GREAT on FACEBOOK...

PS...DAD...thanks for the truck. It worked great...but I may have woken up your visitor. i didn't get back til 12:30. Came back to see a strange car in the driveway. Laura had to remind me of who watches the house.
til next time. Lucki
Wow. This is amazing... the scenery, the descriptions you're writing, and most of all, the stamina you need to DO all this hiking, biking, and rappelling. I didn't know how tough you all are! Have fun! Be safe! xoxoMary Jo
