Traveling to Sedona was uneventful until we stopped at the Lowell Observatory in Flagstaff. We were happy that we stopped, having a tour of the observation facility and hands on experience with the famous Clark Telescope. This telescope discovered Pluto in 1932 and was used in the mapping of the moon. In the sixties, NASA came to Lowell and set up residence, as it was from here that information was gathered for all the Apollo missions.
Our route took us through yet another canyon, Oak Creek, and hairpin turns bringing us to the Red Rock of Sedona.
